NWIH offers comprehensive solutions for pain management, injury recovery and emotional health. Care management begins with an in-depth first visit, with subsequent visits tailored to your individual needs, or as requested by your referring health care practitioner.

Initial Appointment

Your first visit will include a comprehensive evaluation and assessment of your health concerns, followed by a treatment customized to your needs.

  • Your first visit will include a review of your health and concerns. Please bring a list of medications, supplements and past medical history with you. Also be sure to have eaten something within an hour or two of your visit.

  • At NWIH we value hands-on assessment and therapeutics, so your first visit will most likely include some bodywork. Please arrive dressed casually and comfortably.

  • After your treatment you'll be given a printed summary of your health and concerns, along with recommendations for care.

Follow-up Visits

Follow-up visits will expand upon the treatment plan we put together on your first visit.

Regular Return Visits

Return visits for integrative therapies like acupuncture and bodywork will be scheduled at intervals suggested in your first visit, or as recommended by your referring practitioner.  Plan for 45 minutes - 1 hour for these visits.

Extended Return Visits

Longer treatment vists are available and may be recommended as part of your care plan.  Extended visits will include a combination of different therapies, depending on your needs. Plan for 75 - 90 minutes for these visits.

Nutrition and Health Consultations

Sometimes a consultation is recommended between therapy visits and may include assessment and recommendations for diet and lifestyle, disease and therapeutics education, and specialist coordination and referral when necessary. Plan for about 30 minutes for these visits.
